Change default language on Outlook and People Live

People live contacts is the best service by Microsoft. Here you can manage you contacts and do much more with your contacts. If you have contacts on other account like Yahoo, Google, LinkedIn and Twitter etc, you can import them to your live account easily. I’ll share in details about importing contacts to People Live account in my next tutorial. Here in today’s tutorial I’m gonna share with you how to Change default language on Outlook and People live .  When you login to Microsoft Poeple Live to manage your contact OR looking for someone in your contacts, the default language is changed from English to your Regional language. Whenever I personally login to my account, my default language is always Urdu as my region is set to Pakistan. Even though my native language is Urdu but I don’t feel easy with it and English is best and more understandable for me. So if you are facing the same problem and wanna change to a specific language then follow  me. I wanna set my default language to English permanently and don’t wanna any other language to be changed by region base. Lets move to change default language on Outlook and People Live Account.

What is Outlook and People Live?

  • Outlook live is Microsoft email services on domain  https://www.live.com.
  • People live is contact directory linked to Microsoft email on domain https://people.live.com/

How to Change default language on Outlook and People live account?

Step 1: Login to your People Live account here first. After login you see following screen. Language may not be the same as my mine (Urdu), if you are from any other region than Pakistan.  At the bottom there is language bar, click and select your desired language. 1. Peoplelive.com Language Bar

Step 2: Select the language and save it. 2. Save Language

Step 3: Your language will be change to your desired language. May be this is not enough and your language doesn’t change. You will see the same language on you screen but no problem. Lets try another step and change it forcibly, move to next step.

Step 4: Login to Outlook Mail Here and go to Setting > Option next to your account name at top of the page. (See snapshot)3.2 Outlook Settings

Step 5: On Options page Click Account details tab as show in picture. 4. Mail live settings

Step 6: Here on Personal Information page Click Edit.5. Basic Settings

Step 7: Here in Personal information you will see your default region.6. Region Default

Step 8: Change your region here. Select the region and your language will be set to that region you select. I’m changing my region to United States to set my language to English United States. You can select any other region as per you language requirements. Also select timezone for that region OR select Universal Time – GMT. Save these settings. 7. Select Country

Step 9: Your region changing setting will be saved and you will see you updated Region and Time Zone now in your personal information. 8. Region Time Zone Changed

Step 10: Now again go to your People Live account. If it is already open then just refresh the page and language will be changed. Now my language is set to English United States as I selected during region changing. 9. People Live English
